One of my favourite place to paint is at the beach. Penang beach alway amaze me with it’s calm yet full of life kind of feel. This one was painted on location in Bayview Beach Resort, Penang, Malaysia, a place filled with sweet and bitter memories for me. I have been there many times. I love the simple, calm, warm and relaxing environment with not too many people yet much to enjoy.

This time, I was deeply touched by how connected the two little girls, probably sisters were while enjoying their times together. Playing and kicking the sand, enjoying the splashes, talking and laughing.

Even the boats and the rocks are in pairs.

Green

It is always fascinating to see how much life in the leaves as light shines through them.

So Ordinary yet so beautiful

I wish you would be around

I was taking my time enjoying coffee and I saw the flower. I guest there are a lot in life that is so beautiful that we wish we can keep them around forever….. This lily flower is obviously one of those.

Smile

A friend whom I know since I was schooling. She is always so strong, so cheerful and so filled with energy. No matter what she faces in life, she is always so genuine and authentic in describing those life experiences. Be it good or bad, she can always put it in a way that all will laugh their hearts out listening.

It is a privilege to have a friend like her and I so love her smile.

Sadness

When I saw the photo, it was to paint a portrait. Along the process, I found a kind of sadness in the eyes. One of the best thing I found painting portrait, one starts to find a lot more than just lights and darks.

Red

When it comes to flowers, red is a dear colour to see and an encouraging one too.

Rejoice

Seasons the best…with the festive seasons coming, the heart sings the song of nature. Ever so light.
