A new day begins

A beautiful and comforting way to start a day, color and brush. The best thing about art is what one feels, goes into one’s art work. I am so glad to see what comes out from this one.

Visitor

It’s aleays a pleasure to paint red flowers due to its strong color yet there is this amazing softness flowers always carry. After finishing, I just can’t resist giving them a visitor, another soft but strong coloured creature created nature, the butterfly.

Sungai Lima, A place where one can hear the silence of life

It was 6 in the morning and I decided to bring my stuff out to start my day. As I waited for the sun to come out, I sat at the end of the wooden bridge. Along with the sound of the waves come and go, silence, was what I hear. Strange enough, even with the gentle whisper of the waves coming and leaving, the place felt so quiet. And I, was alone, yet not lonely, empty yet full. Empty with sound, full with life. One may not hear them, but yet the mind is never so close to life in the ocean and never so close to Mother Earth. As I sat there, watching the gentle waves, never did I feel so close to being part of the universe, whole as an individual.

Sungai Lima, A place where time stands still

The moment I arrived Sungai Lima, I felt as if I had walked back in time. Though I was at a jetty with people, all I could hear was the sound of waves hitting against the gorgeous ferry which brought me there. The small fishing village was so quiet that I think almost everyone could feel the peace and quiet there that even children didn’t seem to like making noice.

My favourite rest place

My local starbucks coffee shop that has become a very important part of my daily life, to rest, to sketch, to read, to remember sweet and bitter memories, to chat. All with a nice cup of coffee.

The more I looked at it, the more I felt that it needed more work on the proportions of the figures. So I decided to bring the figure forward by adding in more darks.

Colour of the sun

I just love the colours of those umbrellas lining up on that gorgeous white sand.
